Finance Business Analyst

About our opportunity:

Finance business analysts that work within our IT team have recently implemented Microsoft Dynamics for Finance and Operations across the world in all our group companies in UK, EU and USA. This has required a study of multiple processes in all the locations and then design of standard practices that cover purchase ledger, sales ledger, general ledger, payroll, credit control, bank reconciliation, month end processes, yearend processes and management reporting to name a few.

The design, setup and management of these application systems is controlled by the Finance business analysts.

Best practices for these processes are implemented by these analysts.

Selection and implementation of new finance systems and other enhancements is controlled and managed by the analysts.

We want someone with a solid background in finance, accounts and an interest in systems and processes to come join our team of finance business analysts and help us design the future. This is a role which will want you to learn about worldwide finance practices and push yourself and the organisation towards continuous improvement of these.

What you will be doing:

Here a quick insight of what you will be doing:

  • Scoping: Define business change initiatives and their scope.
  • Gather business requirements and translate these to guide development teams
  • Provide solutions, break down problems into smaller pieces
  • Process modelling and re-engineering
  • Prepare detailed plans and set expectations with stakeholders and users through each stage of the project
  • Project Management
  • Manage business teams, IT deliverables and external suppliers to achieve desired project outcomes
  • Manage and assist the configuration of IT systems – like set up new cost centres, items etc.

About you:

You will have significant understanding of AP, AR, GL, Payroll, Credit Control, Bank Reconciliation, Treasury, Accruals, Budgets, P&L, cash flow statements, balance sheets etc.

You will have an accounting qualification or working towards one would be beneficial

You will have a solid portfolio of Project management experience within your career
