Process Engineer - IES

About our opportunity:

To manage the development and improvement of processes at IES from material processing and plant operation through to administrative, maintenance and quality procedures.

The role will involve supporting the development and commissioning of new plant and associated processes as well as improving the maintenance and performance of current processes.

To support the operations management team to drive profitability and deliver class leading performance through operational excellence and the development of a culture of continuous improvement

What you will be doing:

  • Process improvement:

    -       Develop the performance of existing plant through engineering improvement and improved ways of working.  Optimisation of feed material and products through collaboration.

    -       Monitor KPI performance of site, develop deeper understanding of drivers for KPI performance and create action plans to improve

    -       Manage projects identified and work with colleagues to deliver improvements

    -       Improve and embed quality procedures

    -       Improve stock management and system administrative procedures

    -       Develop standard work documents for plant operation, logistics and administrative processes collaboratively with key staff members

    New Plant & Processes:

    -       Support the development and commissioning of new processes and equipment to site

    -       Ensure commissioning is managed diligently and performance of new plant meets expectations

    -       Establish working practices for newly installed processes

    Site development:

    -       Improve organisation of workplace across the site

    -       Improve on site logistics

About you:

-       Minimum of 2 year experience in relevant manufacturing or process engineering role

-       Experience of continuous improvement activities

-       Quality management experience

-       Competent user of MS Windows and capable of learning new systems

-       Good organisational skills and ability to maintain organised and accurate records

-       Good time management

-       People leadership experience

-       A logical engineering mindset, ideally with a formal qualification
